Change port of Sharepoint Central Admin
As you may know the port for the central administration site is auto generated when you install WSS or MOSS. I don’t think there is a way to change this inside the CA, if there is please let me know.
One way to change this port is to use stsadm.exe tool, a very handy tool with lots of functionality. Here is the command to change the port of the Sharepoint Central Administration site: Stsadm –o setadminport –port 1234
