Problem building ASP.NET Ajax control toolkit vsi template

I was looking at the Ajax control toolkit today and wanted to build the vsi template to integrate the toolkit in visual studio.

However when I tried building the project I got the following error:

Could not load file or assembly ‘vjslib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a’

After doing some research on the web I found the solution. The Visual J# redistributable package is needed. I didn’t install this with my visual studio installation because I thought it wasn’t necessary, well seems it is.

You can download the package for different platforms, here

Silverlight 2.0 looks good and has some promising new components. Haven’t had the time to check them out but will do that in the near future.

First game for Microsoft Surface

After my last post, this one is again focused on Microsoft Surface. I just love this new technology..In this video you can see a demo of a game called Firefly being played on the Surface. This is something cool, imagine having this in your living room and you have guests. You can play all sorts of fun games with them, at least if the technology lets you. The traditional board games will be left in the closet, scrabble, monopoly, etc will be played together around the Microsoft Surface.
